Megalodon tooth, nice tooth with complete root, 23-3.6 mya, South Carolina USA. aprox 3.5 inches

This monster of the deep needs no introduction..the largest shark to have ever lived in the oceans with lengths estimated to have reached nearly 60 feet.

This fossil was located in USA, South Carolina around the Charleston area.

Scientific name- Carcharocles Megalodon 

Size- could reach upto lengths of 59 feet approximate estimation

Diet- predatory shark; eating other sharks, whales, fish, as with most sharks probably anything that it could fit in its mouth.

Habitat- Salt water, sea oceans.

Where found- On all continents except Antarctica, majority found along the coats of the USA.

 Time- Early Miocene to the early Pliocene 23-3.6 million years ago.
